My Teaching Philosophy
As a music educator and professional musician, I believe access to music education builds empathy, strengthens critical thinking, and develops perseverance. Studying percussion, or any instrument, extends far beyond musical skill; it shapes students into thoughtful, engaged citizens of the world. I strive to empower my students to grow as well-rounded individuals both inside and outside the practice room. By meeting each student where they are, I honor their unique strengths and encourage curiosity, resilience, and a healthy mindset within my band and percussion programs.
